We were recently contracted for the complete architectural design and build of a modern family villa in Javea, on Spain’s beautiful sunny Costa Blanca.
The Javea estate agents who hired us were after a very contemporary design with wide-open spaces both inside and out, incorporating the latest in green eco-friendly technology. Therefore the orientation and façade design was evolved to make sure solar capture was maximised. Other means of enhancing energy efficiency from the plentiful Spanish sunshine include a district heating system, top levels of thermal efficiency, plus a low energy lighting system.
The property is constructed on a single floor, and the south-facing front of the building consists of a spacious kitchen combined with a dining area, including a modern breakfast bar. The orientation of the living room is designed to take advantage of the extensive view of the majestic Montgo mountain, and also utilise passive solar energy.
As a family home, the villa boasts three large bedrooms, plus a smaller single room, ideal for a child or a guest. All the bedrooms have direct access to the spacious terrace and private pool. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and separate dressing room.
